Aurora Borealis over Switzerland, May 2024

On 10 May 2024, the Aurora Borealis, commonly known as the Northern Lights, was visible in Switzerland due to a G4+ geomagnetic solar storm hitting Earth. This spectacular event, usually confined to higher latitudes, graced Swiss skies because of intense solar emissions impacting Earth's atmosphere.
